The trunk, looking as if cloaked in a robe rises in a rich fashion as though hit by a wave, most of it having died and become shari, dead whitewood. The red tinge of the still living part of the trunk sticks to it as it swells upward. The viewer is shown the live power of junipers in the way that the tree grows thick with leaves while remaining close to death.
