The thick, strong trunk and rough, rock-like bark are the highlights of this bonsai. Its bark has formed many layers over the years to the point where it has become unbelievably thick, and helps to add to the impression of a sheer cliff that this tree gives off. Fittingly, this Japanese black pine masterpiece has been baptized with the name Iwao, meaning “large rock”.
