This tree's trunk has halfway hollowed out, allowing you to see through to the other side through this cave-like feature. Together with an austere expression that only a Yezo pine can offer and the bright whiteness of the shari, dead white wood, this bonsai is well suited to its name, Todoroki, which means the roar of thunder.
