This variety of Japanese maple is called aoshidare, which literally means "hanging green branches". As this name suggests, it has long delicate branches which swoop down to show off their lush green leaves. It is almost as if you can feel a cool May breeze coming from this bonsai with its characteristic white trunk and bright green leaves.
